Longleaf Golf & Family Club is a classic 18-hole course located in Southern Pines, North Carolina, USA, in the heart of the Sandhills golf region. Designed by Donald Ross and opened in 1948, the course is named after the longleaf pine forests that define the landscape of Moore County. True to Ross's style, Longleaf features crowned, undulating greens, strategic bunkering, and a routing that rewards thoughtful course management over power. Situated close to the world-famous Pinehurst resort, it sits among one of the most celebrated concentrations of golf courses in America.
Longleaf is available to all users, including those on a free trial. To play, open Virtual Golf, select 18 Hole Courses, and choose Longleaf from the list.

Hole Descriptions
Hole 1 (Par 4)
385m (Hexagon) / 289m (Square)
Start your round with a soft dogleg right par 4 with a cart path separating the two halves of the fairway. A left-to-right ball flight will take advantage of the corner and avoid the fairway bunkers on the left side. Take aim with your second shot to an open green.
Hole 2 (Par 4)
391m (Hexagon) / 265m (Square)
Avoid the long fairway bunker that hugs the right side of this hole from the tee. From the fairway, the green opens up around the corner to the left.
Hole 3 (Par 3)
202m (Hexagon) / 139m (Square)
The first par 3 of this course sees you hitting over a valley and through a tunnel of pines. Don't fall short as the front edge will feed your ball back for a tricky uphill pitch shot.
Hole 4 (Par 3)
187m (Hexagon) / 127m (Square)
Experience blissful views between the pines and the water. This tee shot is straightforward but avoid the bunker to the left of the green.
Hole 5 (Par 5)
502m (Hexagon) / 326m (Square)
Thread your tee shot through the lines of trees from right-to-left to find a safe position. The aim of the next shot is to get it up to the iconic pine on the second corner of this fishhook par 5. Make sure you've got a good line and you're far enough back that the tree doesn't get in the way when you take on the pin.
Hole 6 (Par 3)
173m (Hexagon) / 120m (Square)
Hitting across the water to a narrow green makes this one of the most delicate tee shots on the golf course.
Hole 7 (Par 4)
360m (Hexagon) / 243m (Square)
This uphill short par 4 needs a precise tee shot between two long fairway bunkers. Once you're in position, take aim at the pin.
Hole 8 (Par 5)
511m (Hexagon) / 356m (Square)
A dogleg left par 5 that needs your full attention. Take on the carry of the left fairway bunker for the opportunity to take on the green in two. Lay up on the right hand side for a safer journey.
Hole 9 (Par 4)
307m (Hexagon) / 215m (Square)
This drivable par 4 heads back towards the clubhouse with bunkers left and right to collect the mishit shots.
Hole 10 (Par 4)
368m (Hexagon) / 228m (Square)
Hit through the tunnel of trees to find a wide fairway with an uphill second shot. A good hit off the tee will see you with a short iron taking on the pin.
Hole 11 (Par 3)
195m (Hexagon) / 118m (Square)
The longest par 3 on the golf course with trees hanging over you on the right side of the tee box and a greenside bunker short and left.
Hole 12 (Par 4)
362m (Hexagon) / 271m (Square)
This narrow fairway sees two long bunkers follow you almost all the way to the green. A good hit down the left side will take the left bunker out of play.
Hole 13 (Par 4)
395m (Hexagon) / 277m (Square)
This narrow fairway has out of bounds on the left and a long bunker and water down the right. Find the short grass from the tee and you'll be in good shape.
Hole 14 (Par 5)
496m (Hexagon) / 362m (Square)
This tree-lined par 5 curves slightly downhill and to the right. Get to the corner to open up the green and take on the pin.
Hole 15 (Par 4)
375m (Hexagon) / 265m (Square)
A straightforward par 4 as part of the run-in provides a birdie opportunity as long as you stay out of the sand.
Hole 16 (Par 5)
465m (Hexagon) / 341m (Square)
Aim down the right side of this fairway to miss the large fairway bunker on the left. From there you'll have an open shot to the green.
Hole 17 (Par 4)
316m (Hexagon) / 234m (Square)
For the big hitters, this green can be taken on from the tee. For a safer approach, aim down the left side of the fairway to open up the target.
Hole 18 (Par 4)
367m (Hexagon) / 246m (Square)
A lovely final hole with a gallery of pine trees surrounding the final green. Aim for the left side of the fairway to set yourself up for an excellent final approach.
