Play Awesome Golf without an Internet Connection
When Awesome Golf Simulator opens to the Main Menu, after connecting to a Launch Monitor, the app checks your account and license, as well as checking your Launch Monitor's registration. To reach the Main Menu, you'll need an Internet connection.
If you have an active Internet connection while playing a session and hitting shots then your scores, personal bests, and leaderboard entries will be saved in your account. This allows you to get the best Awesome Golf experience, track all of your stats, and measure your performance.
Only FlightScope Launch Monitors support playing in offline mode. When playing offline your stats won't be saved and only our 9-hole Virtual Golf courses - our other game modes remain available to play. We're unable to offer the 18 hole courses in an "offline" mode due to our licensing agreement with those courses.
When connected to the Internet, your stats will be available in Awesome Golf Insights, online, and the Awesome Golf Community app.
Extend Wi-Fi Connectivity Reach
In a home-simulator scenario, you may be able to extend the reach of your Wi-Fi network and Internet connection by using a Wi-Fi access point. A Wi-Fi access point such as a TP-Link RE650 or Asus ZenWiFi AX can connect to your existing Wi-Fi network and extend its reach so that you can connect to the Internet wherever you're playing.
Cellular Connectivity & Personal Hotspots
Another option for Internet connectivity is to use cellular data connectivity, or share the mobile data connection of another device by using a Personal Hotspot. If your primary device supports mobile data connectivity this can be used by Awesome Golf Simulator to store and track your stats.
Alternatively, if your primary device doesn't directly support mobile data connectivity the connection can be shared from another device, such as a mobile phone, using a Personal Hotspot.
Some iOS/iPadOS and Android devices may also allow sharing a Personal Hotspot, or Tethering, using Bluetooth to share mobile data connectivity and Internet connection.
