Will there be more golf courses added to Virtual Golf

Yes. We plan to add a couple of courses in the next few months. We have begun development on theses licensed, real, 18-hole courses. We will share updates on these as we progress. Note that realistic courses are not what Awesome Golf is about. So we won't be building up loads of different courses or trying to simulate the movement of long grass in 4K. Awesome Golf Simulator can't find my FlightScope. What's wrong?

Ensure that your device is connected to the FlightScope. Test by using a FlightScope app. Close the FlightScope app before retrying Awesome Golf. Awesome Golf finds by FlightScope, but doesn't connect. What's wrong?

Most likely there is another app or another device connected to the FlightScope already. You need to close the other software before connecting with Awesome Golf, because the FlightScope will only allow one app to connect to it at a time.

Is Club Path data and the Club Face angle available when using a Mevo+?

Does Awesome Golf work on my really old FlightScope unit?

Can I use Awesome Golf with my Mevo+ and Android device?

Unfortunately, due to the connection method, FlightScope devices are unable to connect to both the Android device and our servers simultaneously. This means that we are unable to offer FlightScope users the option of using Awesome Golf Simulator on their Android devices. Awesome Golf Simulator is only available to use on Android devices with Garmin Approach R10 & R50, and Rapsodo MLM2PRO launch monitors. FlightScope users can still download and use Awesome Golf Community on their Android devices.

Does Awesome Golf work with the FlightScope Mini Mevo (the original Mevo)?

Can I use Awesome Golf with my Foresight Sports or Bushnell Golf launch monitor on Android?

Unfortunately, due to the connection method, Foresight and Bushnell devices are unable to connect to both the Android device and our servers simultaneously. How can I connect my Garmin R10 to Awesome Golf?

Yes, we show the club path, face to path, and face to target angles. In various modes you can see the club path as an orange arrow and the initial ball path as a white arrow.

How do I connect my R10 / R50 to a PC?

Install the “Awesome Golf Assistant” app (Android or iOS) on the same device as Garmin Golf. Download and “Awesome Golf Simulator” to your PC. Open Garmin Golf and ensure that it is connected to your R10 / R50. Open Awesome Golf Assistant on the same device as Garmin Golf. Hit the “Sync” button and scan the QR code on the PC screen. Can one shot be shown in both Garmin Golf and Awesome Golf at the same time?

Garmin Golf and Awesome Golf can both capture the same shot at the same time, however, the Awesome Golf Assistant/Simulator app needs to be on-screen for it to operate correctly.

Is it possible to turn the screen off or use another app while using Awesome Golf Assistant?

No, Awesome Golf Assistant needs to be the foreground app so that it can actively capture the shot data. If it goes into the background, you will get a message informing you of connection problem.

Is it possible to use the R10 / R50 and Awesome Golf without an internet connection?

Is Awesome Golf compatible with other Garmin Golf products?

Awesome Golf can't find by R10 via Bluetooth?

For a direct Bluetooth connection, please ensure that Garmin Golf is running on the same device and that Garmin Golf is connected to the R10 (check “More” > “Garmin Devices” in the Garmin Golf app). Garmin R10 Connection Guide

Scanning the QR code doesn't work?

Are you scanning the QR code with the Awesome Golf Assistant app? Install the Awesome Golf Assistant app on the same device as Garmin Golf. Open Garmin Golf and check it is connected to the R10. Then open Awesome Golf Assistant and scan the QR code by pressing the blue Sync button. Also, please check you are using the Awesome Golf Assistant app and not the Awesome Golf Community app, which has a different QR code scanner for driving ranges and indoor facilities. If that doesn't work, please let us know.

What to do if the Garmin Approach R50 disconnects from Awesome Golf Simulator?

If the Garmin R50 disconnects or crashes, your device (phone, tablet, or PC) will no longer be connected to the R50's hotspot. It may take up to a minute for Awesome Golf Simulator to realise that it is no longer connected to the R50. Please wait for the following instructions provided in Awesome Golf Simulator: On the Approach R50, close any dialogs and go back to the Awesome Golf connection screen. In this device's Wi-Fi settings, re-connect to the Approach R50's hotspot. Press the “I have re-connected the hotspot button” below. Watch as Awesome Golf attempts to re-connect to the Approach R50. These steps will help resume your session without losing any data. If all else fails, turn off the Wi-Fi connection on your device (phone, tablet, or PC), turn the R50 off and on, and follow our connection guide above on how to connect. Garmin R50 Connection Guide

How to connect the Garmin Approach R50 to Awesome Golf Simulator?

First, turn on the Garmin Approach R50 and connect it to your Wi-Fi or a personal data hotspot. On the Garmin R50's screen, scroll across twice on the Main Menu to “Connect” and select Awesome Golf Simulator. The R50 will show a hotspot for you to connect to with a connection name and password. From your phone, tablet or PC, go to Settings > Wi-Fi, and connect to the device name and password shown on the R50's screen. Once your device is connected directly to the R50, open Awesome Golf Simulator. Select Garmin as your Launch Monitor type, and then select Garmin R50 as your device type. Awesome Golf will now look for a Garmin R50. Once found, select the Garmin R50 to connect to it and you will be ready to start using Awesome Golf. Note: Once the Garmin R50 is connected to your Wi-Fi, it can be discovered by Awesome Golf Simulator as a launch monitor that is ready to be connected to. However, connecting to the R50 is only permitted via the hotspot generated by the R50 itself. Please ensure that the device you are using for Awesome Golf Simulator is only connected to the R50 and not your Wi-Fi. Any other connection methods will cause software or hardware issues. Can I transfer my previous subscription to the Square Golf Launch Monitor?

In most cases, yes. If you are transferring your license between Square, Garmin, Rapsodo, or FlightScope, then we can transfer your license. Connect to your new Launch Monitor and sign in. Then Email us (support@awesome-golf.com) and request a transfer. Unfortunatley, we aren't able to transfer a license or subscription onto a Foresight or Bushnell Launch Monitor unless the unit as an Unlocked status.

My Square Golf launch monitor isn't tracking shots and it's telling me to place a ball, what should I do?

The Square Golf launch monitor is only suitable for low-medium lit indoor spaces. If you encounter this issue, try reducing the light level in your hitting environment until the launch monitor starts tracking shots again. If this issue continues, contact support@awesome-golf.com.

What specification of PC do I need? What type of graphics card should I have?

Our minimum specs are very low due to our very efficient 3D engine and uncomplicated graphics system. A laptop or desktop PC with a 7th gen (2017+) Intel Core i3/i5/i7 processor or better are capable of running the game very smoothly on the Intel integrated graphics. I have a PC with multiple monitors, can I choose which monitor it will appear on?

Yes. Under settings, choose Display, select “Window” and a suitable resolution. Drag the window to the desired monitor, then select Fullscreen.

My computer only has one Wi-Fi connection, what can I do?

If you need an additional Wi-Fi connection, we recommend the Edimax EW-7811UTC AC600 USB Wi-Fi adapter for best compatibility with the Mevo+. Most Wi-Fi adapters work fine, but there are a few which struggle.

Can I play Awesome Golf using my iPhone?

Yes, Awesome Golf works well on all recent models of iPhone. Using an iPhone avoids the internet connection problem which some iPads will have and you can project the screen via an Apple TV (or AirPlay 2 compatible TV). What sort of connections are supported for iPads and iPhones?

You can connect to your FlightScope using Wi-Fi or ethernet if your FlightScope supports these connections. To use ethernet, you will require an ethernet adapter which is compatible with your iPad / iPhone. USB connections are not possible on iOS.

My iPad is 'Wi-Fi only' & connected to the FlightScope on Wi-Fi - will it work?

You need to have an internet connection at the same time as being connected to the FlightScope for Awesome Golf to work. iPads only allow one Wi-Fi connection, so this can be a problem. The easiest solution is to use an iPad which has a 4G or 5G cell/mobile data connection built-in. Some folks are able to get internet through a Bluetooth connection to their phone, but this depends on the network. Another option is to attach a compatible ethernet adapter to the iPad and connect the ethernet cable to a Wi-Fi access point / router / network switch. It is also possible to use an ethernet connection to FlightScope models with an ethernet port, e.g. X3.
