Garmin Golf™ App and Awesome Golf

The Garmin Golf app is used to set up and provide the latest firmware updates and bug fixes for the Garmin Approach R10. Once set up for the first time, the Garmin Golf app is not required, however, regularly connecting the Approach R10 to the Garmin Golf App ensures that the latest firmware can be automatically installed on your Launch Monitor.

The Garmin Golf app can be downloaded for for iOS and Android devices at garmin.com/golfapp.

Garmin Approach R10

When you connect a Garmin Approach R10 to the Garmin Golf app, the app will automatically download and install the latest available firmware updates and bug fixes while connected to both your Launch Monitor and the Internet.

1. With your R10 connected, open the Garmin Golf app (on iOS or Android) and follow the prompts to download and install the new firmware update.
2. Your R10 will flash purple while the firmware is being installed - once it stops, you’re good to go.

Alternatively, the Garmin Approach R10 can be connected to Garmin Express to download and install the latest firmware while connected to a computer with a USB data cable.
