Device & Variant | Supported Devices |
---|---|
iPad | 5th generation and later |
iPad Mini | 4th generation and later |
iPad Air | 2nd generation and later |
iPad Pro | All Generations |
iPhone | 6s and later |
iPhone SE | 1st generation and later |
iPod Touch | 7th generation and later |
The iOS version of Awesome Golf Simulator can be installed via the Apple App Store.
Whilst designed for optimal use with the iPad displays, Awesome Golf Simulator works well on the displays of supported iPhones. Using an iPhone also avoids the internet connection problem which some iPads will experience. With an iPhone you are also able to project the screen to an Apple TV (or AirPlay 2 compatible device). Note that the aspect ratio may be very wide.
Awesome Golf Simulator is also compatible with Mac with Apple Silicon devices as they can natively run iOS/iPad apps.
Launch Monitor Compatibility
Many of the Launch Monitors that Awesome Golf supports with can be used with your iOS device - and, although USB connections are not possible, you can connect to your Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and Bluetooth Launch Monitors with ease. Ethernet connections require an ethernet adapter for the connection to be possible.
You need to have an internet connection at the same time as being connected to your Launch Monitor for Awesome Golf to work. This can be problem for Launch Monitors that connect via Wi-Fi and 'Wi-Fi only' iPads, especially.
The easiest solution is to use an iPad which has a 4G or 5G cell/mobile data connection built-in - alternatively It may also be possible to use a secondary internet connection via Bluetooth from another device with an Internet connection.
Another option is to attach a compatible ethernet adapter to the iPad and connect the ethernet cable to a WiFi access point / router / network switch.
It is also possible to use an ethernet connection to Launch Monitor models with an ethernet port, e.g. the FlightScope X3.
