Connect Your Uneekor EYE MINI
7 min read
The Uneekor EYE MINI is a portable, camera-based Launch Monitor by Uneekor that captures club and ball data. It can connect to Awesome Golf Simulator using Wi-Fi or an Ethernet (RJ45) cable.
The EYE MINI supports four connection methods:
- Wi-Fi Station (Client) Mode (recommended): the EYE MINI joins your Wi-Fi network, so your device keeps its Internet connection. This needs a one-time Wi-Fi setup using a Windows PC or an iPad.
- Wi-Fi Direct / AP (Access Point) Mode: your device connects to the Wi-Fi network broadcast by the EYE MINI. For the best experience, we recommend having a secondary network connection to the Internet.
- Ethernet Dynamic: the EYE MINI connects to your router or network switch using an Ethernet cable.
- Ethernet Static/Direct: the EYE MINI connects directly to your computer using an Ethernet cable. For the best experience, we recommend having a secondary network connection to the Internet.
Wi-Fi Station (Client) Mode Connection - Recommended
Works on: iOS/iPadOS, Android, ChromeOS, MacOS & Windows (PC)
The Station (Client) Mode connection method connects the Uneekor EYE MINI to your Wi-Fi network, or Personal Network/Hotspot. This connection method allows you to maintain Internet connectivity and Launch Monitor connectivity simultaneously. This is the recommended method for connecting the EYE MINI to Awesome Golf Simulator.
Before you can use this connection method, you'll need to set up the EYE MINI with your Wi-Fi network's details, using the Uneekor Launcher on a Windows PC or the Uneekor VIEW Air app on an iPad. The EYE MINI will remember your Wi-Fi network once set up, so you'll only need to do this again if your network credentials change.
Wi-Fi Setup Using the Uneekor Launcher - Windows (PC)
On the EYE MINI, select Menu → Settings, then go to page 3.
Select WI-FI and set it to Station (Client), then select Back to save the changes.
Connect the EYE MINI to your PC using an Ethernet cable, following steps 1-3 of either the Ethernet Dynamic Connection or Ethernet Static/Direct Connection method below.
In the Uneekor Launcher, select the Start tab → Settings in the Launch Monitor box.
This will start searching for Wi-Fi networks near the Launch Monitor.
When your Wi-Fi network has been discovered, select it in the dropdown and enter the password. Then select Connect.
Wi-Fi Setup Using the Uneekor VIEW Air App - iPad
Connect your iPad to the Wi-Fi network broadcast by the EYE MINI, following steps 1-3 of the Wi-Fi AP (Access Point) Mode Connection method below.
Open the VIEW Air app. If required, select the EYE MINI from the list and select Connect - you should see a green "linked" icon in the top-right of the screen, if successful.
Select the settings Cog (⚙️) icon at the top of the app, then select Scan Wi-Fi.
When your Wi-Fi network has been discovered, select it and enter the password. Then select Connect.

Select WI-FI and set it to AP (Access Point).
Select Back to save the changes.
After selecting Back, a QR code is displayed with a heading Wi-Fi SSID, under which the network name is displayed (for example EYEMINI-123456).

On the EYE MINI, select Menu → Settings, then go to page 3.
Select Ethernet and set it to Dynamic.
Select Back to save the changes.
Connect one end of an Ethernet (RJ45) cable to the EYE MINI.
