Hole Descriptions
Hole 1 - Foxgloves (Par 5)
475m (Hexagon) / 396m (Square)
This opening dogleg left is as severe as it gets. Hit your best drive down the right side then pump the brakes before the rough. From here, look left and you'll see the green open up with a tapering fairway guiding you in.
Hole 2 - Bracken Ferns (Par 4)
370m (Hexagon) / 331m (Square)
The sweeping creek will be unfavourable to those without distance control off the tee. A right-to-left ballflight will hopefully avoid any splashes. From there, take aim for the pin with bunkers around each side of the green.
Hole 3 - Huckleberry (Par 3)
177m (Hexagon) / 127m (Square)
A classic tree-lined par 3 slightly up the hill. Watch out for the bunker on the left. You can bail out short and right if necessary.
Hole 4 - Mountain Laurel (Par 4)
414m (Hexagon) / 322m (Square)
This tight fairway requires accuracy off the tee with the guiding pines not leaving much room for shot shaping. Once you get past the trees on the right side, the hole will open up for you to take aim at the flag.
Hole 5 - Wildflowers (Par 5)
482m (Hexagon) / 427m (Square)
A sweeping par 5 that favours the left-to-right shot shape. Pine trees to the left and a following stream down the right of this hole mean that accuracy is essential. Once you make it to the corner, the fairway tilts down to the stream so ensure you hit to the widest part for a good view at the green.
Hole 6 - Bearberry (Par 3)
189m (Hexagon) / 174m (Square)
To take on this pin is also to take on the bunker. If you have enough club to carry it then you're dancing. If not, short and left is a safe area if required.
Hole 7 - Wintergreen (Par 5)
527m (Hexagon) / 463m (Square)
With water and sand down the left, plus the pine straw down the right, a drive down the left side of the fairway will be a lovely gift to your future self. If you manage to thread the needle off the tee, this hole is reachable in two. If not, find a nice distance for your approach from the wide fairway short of the green.
Hole 8 - Wild Ginger (Par 4)
430m (Hexagon) / 344m (Square)
A drive down the right of this fairway will open up the green for an uphill and picturesque approach. Watch out for the bunker on the left of the fairway that sits in the landing zone for your tee shot.
Hole 9 - Red Elderberry (Par 3)
211m (Hexagon) / 149m (Square)
The longest par 3 on this course is a test for your mind and muscle. A right-to-left ball flight will help thread your shot between the two greenside bunkers. If required, short and right is a dry area to bail out.
