The Majlis Course at Emirates Golf Club is a championship 18-hole course located in Dubai, UAE. Designed by Karl Litten and opened in 1988, it was the first grass course constructed in the Middle East, a remarkable achievement in the desert environment. "Majlis" means gathering place in Arabic, reflected in the course's iconic clubhouse, designed to resemble traditional Bedouin tents rising from the dunes. The course is best known as the long-standing home of the Dubai Desert Classic, one of the most prestigious events on the DP World Tour, and has hosted countless world-class players since its inception.
Emirates Majlis is available to all users, including those on a free trial. To play, open Virtual Golf, select 18 Hole Courses, and choose Emirates Majlis from the list.

Hole Descriptions
Hole 1 (Par 4)
416m (Hexagon) / 290m (Square)
Embrace the challenge of this lengthened opening hole designed to test the best on tour. Driver is essential for the optimal tee shot with a strategic approach required to the elevated green.
Hole 2 (Par 4)
333m (Hexagon) / 247m (Square)
The strategy here is to hit the driver again, so any errant tee shot slightly right of the intended line will go far enough to take you past the water on the right. A great birdie chance, normally with less than 100 yards for the second shot.
Hole 3 (Par 5)
523m (Hexagon) / 404m (Square)
A challenging par 5, often unreachable in two. Strategic play is essential, with a blind second shot over the hill. An optimal lay-up sets up birdie opportunities on this tricky green.
Hole 4 (Par 3)
175m (Hexagon) / 129m (Square)
A fantastic short hole that proves to be one of the most difficult holes on the course year after year, with water guarding the right side of the green. Try to play for the left half of this green and let the ball come off the slope into the middle.
Hole 5 (Par 4)
409m (Hexagon) / 316m (Square)
Rated the hardest hole on the course. The drive needs to be kept in the fairway and the temptation is to hug the tree line to shorten the hole. Try to favour the right side, taking the trees out of play, although it leaves a longer second shot.
Hole 6 (Par 4)
459m (Hexagon) / 340m (Square)
Regarded by many as harder than the 5th, this hole requires both power and accuracy - power from the tee to shorten your second shot to a very narrow green, and accuracy of distance with the second.
Hole 7 (Par 3)
167m (Hexagon) / 95m (Square)
The tee shot is over an expanse of water. At just under 170 yards to the front edge, the breeze has to be taken into consideration when selecting your club. Do not be short.
Hole 8 (Par 4)
402m (Hexagon) / 259m (Square)
With the tee box at the back, the drive requires the ball to be hit 240 yards just to reach the short grass. The second shot is sharply uphill - take one more club than you originally thought.
Hole 9 (Par 4)
424m (Hexagon) / 316m (Square)
An excellent hole to finish the front nine. Strategic play off the tee is crucial to avoid the water and fairway bunkers. Favour the right side of the green for an easier approach.
Hole 10 (Par 5)
491m (Hexagon) / 414m (Square)
A great birdie chance with a wide fairway off the tee and a green reachable in two for longer hitters. Aim to lay up to a comfortable distance short of the bunkers surrounding the green for an aggressive wedge approach.
Hole 11 (Par 3)
162m (Hexagon) / 113m (Square)
Club selection is paramount as the green is 44 yards in depth. A general rule of thumb is that if you hit the ball to the centre of the green, you will not be too far away.
Hole 12 (Par 4)
425m (Hexagon) / 318m (Square)
One of the tougher holes on the course, this can play more like a par 5. Always play driver and try to keep it down the left side of the fairway to shorten the hole as much as possible.
Hole 13 (Par 5)
514m (Hexagon) / 443m (Square)
A risk-reward dogleg left par 5 where a brave tee shot can set up a birdie or spell disaster. A good drive around the corner will leave around 200 yards to the green. The safe option sees you playing right of the dogleg and treating it as a true par 5.
Hole 14 (Par 4)
396m (Hexagon) / 332m (Square)
Aim to hit driver from the tee to secure a flat lie at the bottom of the slope. From there, it leaves a fairly straightforward shot to a flat green with a real birdie opportunity from the centre of the fairway.
Hole 15 (Par 3)
173m (Hexagon) / 128m (Square)
Take the yardage to the centre of the green and play for that point, favouring the right side as anything left leaves a tricky escape from the sandy waste, which sits below the level of the putting surface.
Hole 16 (Par 4)
383m (Hexagon) / 258m (Square)
A generous driving hole allows you to open the shoulders. A relatively simple approach requires the priority to be distance control and club selection. A birdie is on the cards here.
Hole 17 (Par 4)
311m (Hexagon) / 245m (Square)
A hole that can be played in different ways. You can go for the green with your driver if you are long enough, or take the conventional route down the fairway and rely on a good wedge shot. Make sure your tee shot is accurate - a second from the rough or sandy waste will prove tricky.
Hole 18 (Par 5)
517m (Hexagon) / 331m (Square)
A birdie here will bring a marvellous climax to any round, but a par is always satisfying. With the fairway turning left 90 degrees, cutting the corner is a temptation difficult to resist. Be sure to clear the water with your third and enjoy the iconic green.
